Biography:
Sine Lam is an emerging visual artist based in Ontario, Canada. She studied Fashion Design at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Fine Art at St. Lawrence College. Her paintings explore the relationship between light, nature, time and human presence found in daily life. she is interested in the quiet presence of everyday environments and objects. Through atmospheric paintings, she captures fleeting moments where time, and memory intersect. Mostly reflects on the connection between people, their surroundings, and the quiet experiences that shape the sense of place and belonging. Her work has been exhibited in group exhibitions, including at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery and Fulford Place.
Statement:
My artwork explores solitude and moments of stillness found in everyday life and presence, memory, and the emotional connections we form with places, objects, and moments in time. Through colour, composition, and b, I pay attention to overlooked moments and the subtle experiences that often pass unnoticed. I am drawn to fleeting forms of beauty — fading light, flowers in temporary bloom, quiet interiors, and passing moments that disappear almost as soon as they are experienced. Through these moments, slow down and become more aware of surroundings.
